MRT & Whiteline Discuss The YouTube Video For The STi Grudge Match
Brett Middleton and Jim Gurieff talk about the Subaru MY08 STi Grudge Match on this recent show at Blog Talk Radio.
Listen to Brett and Jim talk about Grudge Match and the MY08 including:
- Look at the strengths and weaknesses of the MY08 models
- Why Whiteline needed to increase the bracing on the rear sway bar mounts after upgrading the rear sway bars and how the previous generations problems with the standard mounts flexing with larger sway bars on the back is probably worse in the MY08 than it was in the MY07 and MY06.
And much more.
You can listen to the recording of the show from BlogTalk Radio using the link however there was a small problem with their recording at the start of the show.
I have uploaded the complete MP3 of the call so you don’t miss a minute.
Just right click on the link below and select “Save As” to save the file to your hard drive.
Let us know what you think by leaving some comments and tell us who you think will come out on top in the Grudge Match.

Two Subaru WRX STi’s Square Off On The Track – MRT And Whiteline Produce New Grudge Match Video
MRT Performance and Whiteline have produced a new Grudge Match which compares two identical Subaru MY08 Impreza WRX Sti’s with changes to power related parts and suspension related parts on each of the cars.
STi Grudge Match video to be released via YouTube and other major video sharing portals on Friday 8th August 2008.
Aiming to compare two identical Subaru MY08 Impreza WRX STi’s in a controlled environment, MRT and Whiteline went to Wakefield Park Raceway and took the team from Ignition DVD along to film all the action.
Both cars were driven by well known Australian GTP production car champion Wayne Boatright who was renowned for the results that he achieved driving several different model Impreza STI’s.
STi Grudge Match created a great opportunity for both MRT Performance and Whiteline to setup and compare cars with similar budgets spent in dramatically different ways – one being suspension and the other being power.
STi Grudge Match follows on from the success of their first Grudge Match video that featured an MY06 Subaru Impreza WRX STi and a Mitsubishi Evo IX, which currently has over 530,000 views on YouTube alone.
