I just uploaded a brand new article with some great wheel alignment tips for Subaru Impreza owners.
It talks about the front sway bars and rear sway bars as well as a pretty good explanation of toe and camber - I know lots of people who get those two confused!
If you want more information on your Subaru Impreza suspension (or any model Subaru for that matter) then make sure to join us for the upcoming teleseminar series starting on Tuesday 30th September.
One of our guests will be Jim Gurieff from Whiteline who was involved in the recent Grudge Match 2 video.
We will be talking with Jim in detail about the setup of the car from a suspension perspective for the Grudge Match 2 as well as answering a bunch of questions.
Click Here to find out who else is going to be on the calls with us and submit your own questions - you can go in the running for $100!
Leave your comments and let me know what you thought of the article.
If you have questions about Subaru Impreza tuning then you want to make sure you are a part of the upcoming Subaru teleseminar series.
Ben Dagenais from EcuTek is responsible for training all of the EcuTek techs in the UK, Canada and the USA so we have grabbed one of the most knowledgable experts in the world to talk to you about Subaru tuning and the ECU.
The ECU is easily the most important piece of the performance puzzle when it comes to increasing the power of a Subaru Impreza STi or WRX engine.
The ability to re-program the mapping information contained within the Factory Subaru computer has changed the face of performance tuning forever for Subaru owners and understanding how the ECU works is vital to getting top performance from your car.
Ben will provide some great insights into the ECU and the secret answers to the tuning enhancements that your local tuner may not be aware of or might not tell you.
Brett Middleton and Jim Gurieff talk about the Subaru MY08 STi Grudge Match on this recent show at Blog Talk Radio.
Listen to Brett and Jim talk about Grudge Match and the MY08 including:
- Look at the strengths and weaknesses of the MY08 models
- Why Whiteline needed to increase the bracing on the rear sway bar mounts after upgrading the rear sway bars and how the previous generations problems with the standard mounts flexing with larger sway bars on the back is probably worse in the MY08 than it was in the MY07 and MY06.
And much more.
You can listen to the recording of the show from BlogTalk Radio using the link however there was a small problem with their recording at the start of the show.
I have uploaded the complete MP3 of the call so you don’t miss a minute.

Subaru is about to launch two hot limited-edition versions of the Impreza, and also has a third which may reach the market within the next six months if there’s enough customer demand.
That third car is the Impreza WRX STI 380S, which is officially being described as a concept, though it might become more
than that depending on the reaction of the crowds at this week’s British International Motor Show. Even if it goes on sale, it won’t actually be a formal production model, since individual examples will be hand-built.
Part of the process includes a complete engine rebuild by Prodrive. The target power output is 375bhp, which would put this Impreza well ahead of the strongest Mitsubishi Evo. Other equipment includes uprated suspension, a new exhaust and 18″ BBS alloy wheels in a choice of gold or silver. No price has yet been suggested, but this won’t be a cheap car, though it will certainly be a very special one.
The Impreza WRX-S definitely isn’t a concept. It’s on sale at £22,495, and first deliveries are expected in September. Based on the standard <Impreza WRX>, the S benefits from a Prodrive-modified ECU and exhaust which boost the maximum power from 227bhp to 252bhp. That’s not enough to improve the maximum speed, which remains at 130mph, but the 0-60mph time drops by 0.6 seconds to 5.5seconds.
The WRX-S also comes with 225/40 tyres on 18″ anthracite alloy wheels, STI body styling and a Momo Air-Race gearknob.
In between the two cars already mentioned comes the WRX STI 330S (pictured above). This one also benefits from the work of Prodrive, with maximum power up from the 296bhp of the regular STI to 325bhp (and produced 600rpm further down the rev range at 5400rpm). Top speed is still 155mph but the 0-62mph time drops to 4.4 seconds.
Like the other models, the 330S comes with 18″ wheels, and standard equipment also includes Recaro seats, satellite navigation, Smart entry and a push-button starter. The price has not yet been confirmed, but Subaru reckons it will be about £30,000.
